This blog will be useful for those who are taking Class 2B Motorbike lesson at CDC (ComfortDelgro Driving Centre). The learning curve can be quite steep at the beginning and hopefully, though this blog, I can give some useful tips or advices so that your learning curve can be reduced.
There is not much guide available online regarding learning Class 2B Motorbike lesson at CDC when I was a learner at CDC. After searching for some time, I discovered that most of the guides can be found in the Singapore Bike forum. You can find guides on other riding schools (SSDC and BBDC) in Singapore there.
Specifically, most of the information can be found in the thread named [cdc] 2b. However, the thread is very long and it will take long time to read though all the posts regarding Class 2B Motorbike lesson at CDC. Furthermore, not all the posts in the thread are relevant. I have personally took quite some time to finish reading almost of the posts inside the thread. Thus, I decided to write this blog so as to provide a condensed guide from all the forummers over there combined with my own learning experience.
I am also selling equipments above required for learning motorbike at CDC on my website, Qoo10 and carousell. I am selling the elbow & knee guard for $15 and $1 for the glove which are much cheaper than CDC price of $25. These two equipments are needed for all CDC riding practical lessons. This blog also provides a value added service to help my buyer complete the motorbike as fast and cheap as possible. Hopefully, you can learn from my mistakes and take the least possible lesson to get your license.
The blog is divided into different sections. Do try to read each section before you attempt the Class 2B Motorbike lessons at CDC or test so that you can be prepared. By doing so, you will increase your chance of passing each lesson and test in one go. It will be best if you can read 1 and 2 before you go down to CDC to enroll in the motorbike riding school.

Pls do try to complete all your theory lessons and tests as soon as possible to prevent any bottlenecking. Both theory and practical lesson can be cleared at the same time. Some learners progress were impeded as they are unable to book their next practical lesson due to not clearing their theory lessons and tests fast enough. Do visit this post to learn more about other CDC practical lessons.
As i am no longer learning in CDC, i might not be able to give the most updated information. Thank you for this list. You are right, not much info available at CDC about the steps. This is the clearest at-a-glance guide I have seen!
I have just about started my 2B at CDC. I will come back to check for content of #5 onwards.
Keep it up!
thank you for blogging this, they were informative. I have 1 question, do they have places to safe keep your things while having prac lesson?
You can keep your item in the locker. But you have to pay $1 each time. If the item is not expensive and you can afford to lose it, you can hide it behind the locker or just placed into the locker without locking it.
How long can I use the locker plessssss
umm . is there any chance that u might know the brand of the bike ?
THe bike used in CDC is Yamaha YBR125
Hi may i know why practical 6 onwards the link not working ?
Because i do not have time to write it out yet…
I think just like Arcane has shared with us his experience, those who benefitted from his blog and done or passed lesson 6 onwards should feel free to upload their experiences here in the spirit of info sharing and helping learners pass the test instead of paying more for repeat lessons. While not all instructors are bad, I have experienced several who do not write a word of their comments on the booklet. They tell you you failed but not HOW you can pass in terms of the technique. Yes they say do this and that but HOW to overcome the bottleneck faced by learners? I hoping to encounter better instructors down the road. The car instructors I experienced are much better due to 1:1 ratio.
I hope to contribute also after I pass.
Just wanted to say that i really appreciate you sharing your experiences. As a new 2B learner, i cant begin to explain how much this is helps!
Not sure if you’re going to have the time/interest to finish the rest of the posts (prac 6-8 and TP test), but im sure many of us are eagerly looking forward to them. Me included of course.
Either way, thanks loads! 🙂
Why not write up about lesson 6 ? Many need it also. We need something like a SCRIPT of what the lesson instructions will be to prepare us for the lesson. It’s difficult to pass in the same lesson when you only know what are the instructions on that day and then you immediately have to execute it. And come on, not all their instructors speak clear enough to make all learners understand especially with helmet on. Singaporeans should cultivate a more Sharing mentality as we are living in a very selfish society.
Thanks for step by step guide on class 2B for cdc. Always a must read bike-ble (pun) before my pracs. You’ve helped alot of people I would say. Awesome mate!
Max
Well done for remembering every steps by steps procedure we had taught u and brief to u and share with other riders..if u rem or know who I am (because I might be only teaching u for 2 months ) rem I always said “always believe and never give up”
Hi, by far the best guide I could find online. Thank you so much for the effort and so far have not failed any lesson yet. After reading you tips and when instructor starts explaining, I could understand better.
Hi, thank you for this blog – it is super helpful! Would you know what happens if my expiry date is reached and I haven’t completed my lessons or passed the TP test?
your membership will expire. If you do not renew, then when you re enrolled again, you will have to start at lesson 1 again
I want to say a big thank you for all your tips. These really helped me in my 2B journey throughout 2023!
