A motorcycle license is required if you want to ride a motorcycle in Singapore. To apply for motorcycle license, you have to be at least 18 year old. The first step to obtaining your motorcycle license is to enroll in one of the 3 riding schools. Please read this blog post for a comparison of the 3 riding schools. They are CDC (ComfortDelgro Driving Centre), SSDC(Singapore Safety Driving Centre) and BBDC (Bukit Batok Driving Centre). If you decide to enroll in CDC riding school, please read this blog post. It contains much of my learning experience in CDC which i believe you will find it very helpful.
To enroll, you will have to make a trip down in person to the driving centre with your Identical Card(IC). If you have already passed BTT(Basic Theory Test), then you can apply for PDL(Provisional Driving License) so that you can start to book practical and theory lesson online. Else, without the PDL, you can only apply for theory lesson on BTT. Only after passing BTT, then you can apply for PDL to start your practical lesson.
You will still have to pass the Riding Theory Test and the Traffic Police Practical Test before you can finally get your motorcycle license. This license only entitles you to ride motorcycle with engine capacity of 200CC and below. I have personally obtained my motorcycle class 2, 2a and 2b license in CDC. Even if you have chose other riding school, do read my blog posts as they contain tips and techniques to pass the courses.
